FlySafair Is Hiring Flight Attendants in Cape Town – Here’s What You Should Know
If you’ve ever dreamed of working in the skies, FlySafair is offering an exciting opportunity to do just that. They’re currently looking for new Flight Attendants to join their Cape Town team. This is a full-time, permanent position with one of South Africa’s most respected low-cost airlines.
Working as a Flight Attendant isn’t just about serving coffee at 35,000 feet — it’s about keeping people safe, staying calm during unexpected moments, and creating a smooth travel experience for everyone on board. From handling safety briefings to being the go-to support in an emergency, your job will matter every single day.
To be eligible, you’ll need a valid South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Cabin Crew Licence. You should also have completed Grade 12, hold a valid Avmed DD50 Medical Certificate, and have up-to-date training in areas like dangerous goods handling, firefighting, and ditching. Since the role is physically demanding, you must be healthy, able to swim, and ready to work shifts — including weekends and holidays. A valid driver’s license and your own transport are also required.
Your daily tasks will include checking safety equipment before each flight, staying alert to onboard emergencies, keeping passengers comfortable, and communicating clearly with both passengers and the flight deck. In many ways, you’ll be the face of FlySafair — a calm, confident presence people can rely on during their journey.
FlySafair is looking for reliable, well-presented individuals with strong communication skills. You’ll need to be disciplined, team-oriented, and ready to deal with pressure in a fast-paced environment. Prior flight experience helps, but a great attitude and professionalism are just as important.
This isn’t just another job — it’s a chance to grow in a structured and rewarding career. FlySafair offers ongoing training and encourages staff to develop within the company. If aviation is your passion, and you meet all the requirements, this could be your perfect fit.
To apply, send your CV, proof of all qualifications and licenses, a short cover letter, and contactable references. Make sure your documents are clear, certified, and up to date. Late or incomplete applications won’t be considered.
Closing date for applications: 11 September 2025
If you’re serious about starting or growing your aviation career, this is a great opportunity to join a trusted airline with a strong team culture and a solid reputation.
