Supporting the Warehouse Controller in meeting all safety, quality, governance, interfaces with packaging and brewing process areas (where applicable), inbound and outbound logistics, and productivity requirements to meet internal and external stakeholder service levels is the primary objective of this position.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

•Excellence Initiatives Ensure that the VPO and DPO Excellence Programs are implemented and followed.

•Safety
•Conduct Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
•Work with Fleet & Safety •Supervisor to ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to for •Forklifts
•Analyse safety performance to identify trends and improve safety
Set an example and foster an atmosphere in which everyone is responsible for ensuring safety. •Investigate incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
•Organise and oversee onboarding and training of new and existing employees
•Make sure the Warehouse is prepared for emergencies.

•Quality
•The VPO and DPO requirements, as well as GOPs, are followed when it comes to quality standards. •Ensure 75 percent Global •Warehouse GOP Compliance Implementation of a product quality orientation program All inbound and outbound logistics meet quality standards (FEFO, BB date, Batch Management, etc.), including receipts from packaging.

Maintain proper stock storage and adhere to the Freshness and Rotation Policy (FEFO) in accordance with VPO Standards. Collaborate with quality teams to quarantine, inspect and release goods.

SLA and routines managed by the QA department Improve quality-related KPIs in collaboration with other departments by tracking and trending issues.

Track, trend and manage repacking operation to conform to quality standards and to improve repacking productivity
Contractor/3PL Management
SLA reviews standardize supplier and internal customer management.

Ensure that the business strategy is met by contractors and third-party logistics providers Create an engaging environment to foster business partnerships and good relations
Continuously engage Contractors/3PL to extract maximum productivity responsibly
Ensure Contractors comply with SAFE requirements
Statutory
Adherence to the Health, Safety and Environmental Standards
Department of Labour Stacking Exemptions complied with
Standards for site housekeeping are maintained to guarantee compliance with site safety guidelines. Ensure that all applicable laws are followed. Financial Management
Minimize overtime and temporary employee usage
Sizing of shifts in the warehouse and aligning resources with weekly and daily activity Keep the number of contractors and temp workers to a minimum and operate within the law. Always keep an eye out for opportunities for internal and external financial optimization. Weekly monitoring of general ledger accounts to ensure adherence to budget and forecasts
Monthly financial performance analysed and necessary plans put in place to correct if required
Optimises SCOH Management and ensures Problem Solving approach is followed
Budgeted ZBB and VLC costs are understood, as are LE costs’ actuals and improvement plans. Stock Count
Ensuring daily counts are completed to ensure ERP vs Physical are aligned and where variances these are investigated and closed to ensure all movements
In accordance with MIC’s requirements, every single piece of material and SKU is counted monthly. Make sure the risks associated with obsolete write-offs are reduced. Manage KPIs and PIs linked to Inventory (E.g. Stock Posting Time , Inventory Accuracy , OOR , DIO)
Utilization of Tools for Problem Solving to Cut Costs in the Supply Chain Inbound & Outbound Logistics
Making sure that any escalations of Delivery Schedules and Inbound Retpack Plans do not occur promptly with the Supplier and T1 Control Room before the risk occurs Monitoring Outbound Plan is sufficient to manage Warehouse Capacity , FTCT and OTIF
Manage KPIs and PIs linked to Inbound and Outbound Process (E.g. FTCT and all related PIs, DLPA )
A steady supply of high-quality raw materials to prevent production interruptions. OOR KPI Managed
Track loading/unloading productivity and show results evolution
Implement load scheduling and keep track of it. Interfaces for Raw Materials, Finished Goods, and Returnable Containers in the Packaging Line and Brewing Process Area Process Control Owner to ensure Bin Card Process is managed to meet LCA requirements and reconciliation between two parties takes place shiftly and discrepancies are resolved timeously
Identifying and resolving route causes and resolving stock discrepancies actions developed in collaboration with owners of the packaging and brewing process areas to improve process control Additional Interface Requirements
Management of DCBL Process and Problem Solving DCBL impacts to ensure Sites and Customers not adhering to sorting standards are held accountable
Examine the Captured MBFU and FRI Results and Use Problem Solving to Close Gaps Operations include picking, sorting, repairing pallets, decanting, and overpacking. Management of Daily Priorities and efficiencies based on Operational Requirements. Management encompassing the PI/KPI results, Safety, Problem Solving to Improve Payment for Services etc)
Some crucial KPIs, such as DOC, Packaging and Brewing Plans , OTIF , T1 vs T2/DS , Export Requirements , WNP , WQI , FNP etc
Make use of GOP’s linked to warehouse KPI’s and insure 75% score is achieved
Ensure 75% Compliance to the Warehouse Labor Productivity GOP to improve the KPI
Create and maintain a sizing simulator for optimal equipment and labor resource allocation. Develop and Manage the Warehouse Capacity Utilization model to improve Warehouse efficiency
Loss of bottles ERP transactions reflect all Loss Points in the Logistics Operation (Breakages , MBFU from Sorting , Inbound Losses etc.) to ensure GL losses in ERP match Mass Balance Results
Packaging Interface Procedures and Routines, as outlined above, to guarantee that losses are reflected in the appropriate locations and facilitate problem-solving Solving problems with inventory Counting differences to reduce swings SCOH Management
ERP transactions reflect all Loss Points in the Logistics Operation (Breakages , Inbound Losses etc.) to ensure GL losses are reflected timeously in ERP
Reduce Supply Chain Overheads through the utilization of problem solving tools.
Gate Control SOPs on Inbound and Outbound Loads are followed to ensure Un-accountable Losses are negated
Management of Forklifts Allow Work Management SLA versus supplier management 5S
5S Compliance within Logistics Operations
Conduct 5’s Audits, consolidate results and use management tools to improve results
LCA
Ensure that the requirements of the LCA Audit are carried out and adhered to. PTP Method GRIR/VIM Query Management

Liason with Internal and External Customers
Support Team Goals and VPO Principles
To ensure that KPIs are reviewed and managed, strong routines should be established for both the Finished Goods Warehouse and the Raw Materials Warehouse.

Regular meetings are used to manage and update team rooms to solve problems and improve performance.

Requirements:

Three-year relevant degree or diploma 3 or more years of warehouse or logistics experience is advantageous.

Highly proficient with computers. SAP proficient
