Tasks
As a Security Officer at iMVULA, your responsibilities will include:
routinely patrolling assigned locations to prevent unauthorized entry and enforce safety procedures Using alarm controls and surveillance systems like CCTV to keep an eye on things and spot potential dangers responding to medical emergencies, unauthorized entry, and fire alarms, among other emergencies Reporting security incidents in detailed logs and cooperating with law enforcement when required
Managing disturbances and de-escalating conflicts with professionalism and calm assisting in emergencies with CPR and basic first aid Keeping accurate records of daily operations, security checks, and incidents Qualifications
To be considered for the iMVULA Security Officer role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
a high school diploma or its equivalent (NQF Level 4) Valid Certification as a Security Guard (PSIRA registered preferred)
Essential:
Basic First Aid Certification CPR Certification – required
Certification in fire safety training is advantageous. Experience
While entry-level candidates may apply, applicants with the following qualities will receive preference: Experience working in public safety, the military, security, or law enforcement Working knowledge of alarm and surveillance systems proficiency with emergency response procedures Knowledge of basic computer operations, particularly in MS Word and Excel for incident reporting
