POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be in charge of providing the precinct of Parliament with general cleaning services that are both effective and efficient in accordance with the relevant cleaning standards and requirements.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
•Cleaning of areas and spaces occupied by people
•Cleaning of public spaces and common areas
•Health and Safety – Compliance
To be eligible, you must possess:
Minimum requirement:
•Grade 10
•An advantage will be regarded as Grade 11 or an equivalent NQF Level 3 qualification.
•Two years of relevant work experience
IN ADDITION,YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMOSTRATE THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND JOB-RELATED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
•Aptitude for writing, reading, and following schedules and instructions
•Ability to adapt to changes easily
able to work a variety of shifts and hours Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards as they relate to cleaning processes and activities
familiarity with office cleaning procedures and processes •Experience in the use of industrial type cleaning machines and equipment (vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, etc.)
