Description
JOB OBJECTIVE
•The core purpose of the role is to ensure the effective picking of goods from the picking list against customer orders and packing of goods onto shelves according to company standards.

Principal Obligations
PICKING
•Make sure that the stock is picked correctly using the picking slip. •Verify that the appropriate stock was selected.
•Picking slips should be completed precisely.
•On all picking slips, include your name, date, weights, dimensions, and signatures if necessary.
•On the picking slip, indicate and communicate any anomalies.
•On the picking slip, indicate and communicate any color and quantity variations in the product.
PACKING
•Ensure accurate packing of stock into correct areas/bin locations.
•Ensure effective wrapping of the product according to company procedures, to ensure protection of the product.
•Ensure correct stock is submitted to dispatch area.
•Prepare the goods for delivery or shipment.
•Pack and load products onto vehicles according to company specifications.
WAREHOUSE ASSISTANCE
•Ensure that all stock is correctly and neatly located, binned, and maintaining a tidy display of the products.
•Always make sure that the requirements for stacking and storage are followed.
•Perform the loading and unloading of products from vehicles and containers.
•Assist with the receiving of stock as required.
•Accompany delivery drivers to assist with product offloading or loading at customer locations. Count the inventory.
•Perform regular cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, tidy, and sanitary warehouse environment.

•If there is an operational constraint, assist in a different position.
•If you have a valid driver’s license, assist with driving responsibilities, such as driving a company vehicle.
•When driving a company vehicle, follow all traffic laws and safe driving practices.

•Keep precise delivery logs and ensure that all necessary paperwork is signed and returned. •Give excellent service to customers.

•Ensure adherence to the OHS Act.

•Work with the employer to ensure that prescribed responsibilities or requirements are met.

•Identify and report opportunities for improvement, Non-Conformances, and Incidents in area of responsibility.
•Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
12th grade or its equivalent
EXPERIENCE
one year of experience in a position similar to this.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
•ability to perform basic calculations using numbers.
•A thorough practical knowledge of best practises warehouse operations processes.
•Knowledge of and comprehension of the relevant ISO Standard requirements for the position.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SKILLS
•The ability to carefully and accurately pick and pack items, ensuring correct quantities, product quality, and proper packaging.
•The capacity to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, achieve productivity goals, and maintain accuracy all at the same time
